The Bioved Research Center is fully accredited by DSIR (Department of Scientific and Industrial Research), Department of Bio-Technology and by CPSCEA (Committee for the Purpose, Control and Supervision of Experiments upon Animals) to conduct Animal Pharmacology and Toxicology. The In-house Ethics Committee consisting of noted academicians, physicians, legal professionals and CPSCEA representatives meets regularly and supervises protocols and conduct of animal studies at Bioved. Strict standards of animal experimentation and euthanasia in compliance with the internationally accepted principles for laboratory animal use and care as directed by Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Principles of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), European Economic Community (EEC) Directive 87 / 18 / EEC, December 18, 1986, and the United States Food and Drug Administration, Title 21, Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 58, Good Laboratory Practice Regulations, Final Rule, September 4, 1987 are followed during all studies.
